Aire Subtitle · Effective 18 September 2026

In short: Aire Subtitle collects nothing. Your recordings, the subtitles made from them and everything in between stay on your device. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no server of ours for anything to be sent to.

What the app does with your recordings

When you add a video or audio file, Aire Subtitle copies it into its own storage on your device, extracts the sound, and turns the speech into subtitles using Apple's on-device speech recognition. If you ask for a translation, that is done with Apple's on-device translation. None of this leaves your device, and none of it is sent to us or to anyone else.

Subtitle files, burned-in videos and the app's working files stay in the app's storage, where you can see and delete them in the Files app under On My iPhone › Aire Subtitle, or from the app's own Storage screen. They are excluded from iCloud backup.

Data we collect

None. The app contains no analytics, crash-reporting or advertising code, does not use cookies or identifiers, and does not make network requests of its own.

Apple's language models

The first time you transcribe or translate a language, iOS may download Apple's speech or translation model for it. That download is performed by iOS, between your device and Apple, under Apple's Privacy Policy. The app does not see or control it, and your recordings are not part of it.

Permissions

Sharing

A subtitle or video leaves the app only when you share or save it yourself, through the iOS share sheet or the Files app, to a destination you choose.

Children

The app collects no information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. A change that meant collecting any data would be stated here before it took effect.
